양건식(梁建植) 사상과 문학의 총체성② : 1910년대 양건식 문학의 재발견

이 연구는 양건식(梁建植, 1889-1944) 사상과 문학의 총체성을 복원한다는 목적 아래 두 개의 논제를 정했다. ① 양건식의 사상적 궤적을 통해 그의 사상적 가치를 재조명하고, ② 1910년대 양건식 문학의 가치의 재발견 등이 그것이다. 소설·번역·평론 등 양건식의 다양한 텍스트를 상대로 이것이 각기 분리된 채 여기(餘技)로 존재했던 것이 아니고 유기적 통일성을 유지한 가운데 산출된 고투의 산물임을 확인해 나갔다. ①에서는 양건식 사상궤적을 통해 그가 동아시아 지식장(知識場) 전환에 얼마나 민감했으며, 불교철학을 바탕으로 서양근대사상을 체인(chain)했던 인물이었는지를 탐구했다. 이번은 그 두 번째로 1910년대 양건식 문학의 가치를 재점검하고자 한다. 우선 그가 발표한 단편과 평문(評文)을 중심으로 1910년대 양건식의 문학적 가치를 재고할 생각이다. 특히 1910년대 문학을 1920년대 문학을 위한 예비단계로 보는 시각을 비판적으로 바라보면서 1910년대 양건식 문학의 선취성과 독자성을 확인할 것이다. 아울러 양건식의 문학론에 대해서도 새삼 되새길 생각이다.

This study established two topics with the aim of restoring the totality of Yang Geon-sik (1889-1944) thought and literature. They are re-examining his ideological value through the ideological trajectory of Yang Geon-sik, and rediscovering the value of Yang Geon-sik literature in the 1910s. Against various texts of Yang Geon-sik, such as novels, translations, and reviews, it was confirmed that they were not separate and existed here, but were the product of struggle produced while maintaining organic unity. ① explored how sensitive he was to the conversion of East Asian knowledge fields through Yang Geon-sik's thought trajectory and how he was a chain of Western modern ideas based on Buddhist philosophy. This time, we will re-examine the value of Yang Geon-sik in the 1910s and re-examine Yang Geon-sik's position in the history of modern literature. First of all, he plans to review Yang Geon-sik's literary and historical status in the 1910s, focusing on his short stories and essays. In particular, we will look critically at the view that literature in the 1910s is considered a preliminary stage for literature in the 1920s, and confirm the preoccupation and independence of Yang Geon-sik literature in the 1910s. In addition, we will reflect on Yang Geon-sik's theory of literature.
