김혁 소설 연구
초록
본고는 조선족 작가 김혁의 중편소설집 『천재 죽기기』와 세 편의 장편소설을 창작 시기별로 작가의 소설 세계를 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 『천재 죽이기』를 집필하던 1990년대 중반 소설들은 예술가로서의 자긍심을 형상화하고 자본의 논리에 따라 변화하는 사회를 비판하였다. 2000년대에 발표한 장편소설에서는 소년의 시각을 통해 문혁 시기의 풍경을 소설화하고, 도시로 이주한 농민들이 사회의 밑바닥에서 비참하게 살아가는 현실을 비판하고, 위안부의 비극을 소설화하여 위안부 문제를 극복하기 위한 대안을 소설적으로 제시하였다.
김혁 소설은 작가의 예술관을 소설화하는 미시 서사에서 시작하여 사회적이고 역사적인 주제를 다루는 거대 서사로 변화해 왔다. 이러한 김혁 소설의 변화 과정은 개혁개방으로 경제가 성장하면서 조선족 소설이 거대 서사에서 미시 서사로 나아가는 현실과는 변별된다. 김혁은 조선족의 이주와 위안부의 비극 등을 현상만을 서술하고 그 의미를 밝히기보다 현상의 본질을 밝히고 그 현상이 발생시킨 문제를 극복할 방안을 모색한다. 바로 이 점이 김혁의 소설이 지닌 특수성이자 가치라 할 수 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to reveal a Joseonjok writer, Kim, Hyeok's perspective of novels in a sequence of his middle‐length novel, Killing a Genius(천재죽이기) and his three novels according to the time of creation. In the mid‐1990s, when writing Killing a Genius, novels criticized society that changed with the logic of capital, which shaped the pride of the author as an artist. He depicted a novel in the time of Chinese Cultural Revolution through a boy's view in a novel which was published in the 2000s. He criticized the reality that the farmers who migrated to the city lived miserably at the bottom of society. He fictionalized the tragedy of a comfort woman and fancied an alternative to overcome the problems of the comfort women.
Kim, Hyeok’s novel has been transformed starting from a microscopic narrative which makes the author’s artistic perspective a fiction to a gigantic narrative that comes up with social and historical subjects. This process of change in Kim, Hyeok's novel is differentiated from the reality of the Joseonjok novel which moves from a gigantic narrative to a microscopic narrative as the economy grows due to reform and openness. Kim, Hyeok, rather than describing the phenomenon of Joseonjok's migration and the tragedy of a comfort woman, and revealing its meaning, clarifies the nature of the phenomenon and looks for ways to overcome the problems that the phenomenon caused to occur. It can be said that this is the peculiarity and value that Kim, Hyeok's novel has.
